Name: Javajack
Age: 47
Sex: M
Year infected: 1984

Occupation: Sales soon to have a web certification

Type: HSV 1 & 2 Year Infected: 1983

O.B.'s Per year: none in the last 2 years (no partners)

Prodrome: Weak, not light headed, you just know, irritation on genitals or mouth.

Method of Control: A healthier lifestyle...lysine, vitamins plus algae. Getting a lot out of "Controlling Herpes Naturally" (book) I still enjoy ice cream, coffee, and oatmeal, just not as much. Oh yes I haven't had peanut butter in a long time.

My Story: I want to be honest. I have trouble meeting people (women). Part of that is knowing what they will say or what their gyn will tell them. Which is the truth. I don't want to be sneaky or give this gift to anyone. I was very sexual before and after a doctor told me I could not give or pass it on without the sores being visible, and gave it to a friend I was hoping for marriage, and others. Knowing that I have passed it on because I did not know the full story I am concerned about approaching others now. I have been celibate for the last 3+ years. Developing friendships without expectations is pretty easy, having fun meeting and being with others just to have fun. Resigning from an intimate relationship materializing.

The gift comes with life long lessons of caring for others safety and health is much more important. I would like to thank everyone who shared their story and giving me a chance to write mine.
